KGNU and the BBC: Climate Change Panel Discussion
KGNU Independent Community Radio is proud to partner with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) to present a free panel discussion about climate change -- the most critical issue facing our planet today. Jon Stewart, host of the BBC's Science in Action, which airs as part of KGNU's science programming on Tuesday mornings at 8:35, will moderate a panel of expert researchers from the University of Colorado and Boulder's own National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) who will talk about how our world deals with this difficult issue in the wake of last years Copenhagen conference.

The panel will feature prominent climate change experts Peter Backlund, Caspar Ammann, and Lawrence Buja from NCAR and Roger Pielke, Jr. from the University of Colorado. Journalist Leslie Dodson from KGNUs locally-produced program How On Earth will join them on stage to discuss the science behind climate change and the importance of conveying its urgency to the powers that be and the public at large. The panel will also take questions from the audience.

KGNU invites the public to attend this event on Thursday, June 24th at 7pm at the Unity Church located at 2455 Folsom Street in Boulder (map). Admission is free. Call KGNU at 303-449-4885 for more information.
