Help Celebrate KGNU's 29th Birthday
The Open House will feature an on-air reading by astrologist Nan deGrove at 10 am, birthday cake contributed by Brillig Works, tours, and glimpses into the past, including videos of the early days of the station.Conceived in a Boulder Free School class in the early 1970s, born in a cottage by Boulder Creek, KGNU went on the air at 10 am May 22, 1978. KGNU began broadcasting in Denver on 1390 AM on August 29, 2004. Join us in celebrating nearly three decades of community radio in Boulder County and beyond and look to the future, as we work to bring together the communities of the Denver metro area through the magic of the airwaves. Thats Tuesday, May 22 from 10 am to 6 pm, KGNUs 29th birthday open house. Come by and have a piece of birthday cake!
