Weekly Report from Boulder
What a week for me. Our prairie dog art project is in full gear with many of the dogs on display at the public library and a few more still coming in the door. September 20 we’ll do the auction of the dogs at the Odd Fellows Hall on Pearl Street in Boulder. I do a lot of the photography of the prairie dogs for use on our website http://www.kgnu.org/prairiedogs/index.html. Well I shot one dog in our yard on Tuesday and wound up putting my hand down on the ground afterwards, right on top of a bee. May I recommend right now that you try never to get stung in the palm of your dominant hand. Thankfully my doctor gave me strong antihistamines that are mellowing that out quickly.
I haven’t been keeping a close view on Mars this week through it’s closest approach to us but I have noticed it a few times this month those nights I get home after dark. Tonight we’re off to Louisville to hear Latin group Onda and I may swing by the observatory afterwards to take a peek at Mars through their telescopes.
