Weekly Report from Boulder
Friday night was our first ever Women's Blues Review, a benefit for our GNU Building Fund held at the Boulder Theatre. We had Mollie O'Brien, Tempa and the Tantrums, and Erica Brown. All these ladies were just dynamite in a very fun evening full of many familiar and some not so known faces. Many thanks to everyone at the Boulder Theatre, the artists, and our own Joanne Cole for making this happen.
It looks like our next event will be in February when we do our silent auction. I've gotten a few signed CDs and posters and am hoping also to have some nice sets or box sets to offer. We will also be seeking other goods and services from the community. Do let me know if you have anything you would like to contribute or great ideas for items to auction.
Our Halloween was kind of on the quiet side. My biggest excitement was that my neighbors set a jack-o-lantern on the steps next to a bowl of Snickers bars. I heard some screaming animals at one point and, sure enough, in the morning when I got my paper there were shredded wrappers everywhere. Even raccoons like Snickers apparently.
Tomorrow is Election Day, aren't we excited! I do urge everyone to get out and vote. My philosophy is if you don't vote you don't have any right to complain.
