We're available for gigs of all sorts; parties, art openings, festive dinner parties.

Violinist Benjamin Gauss plays both viola and violin, and has a Masters in Performance from the University of Oklahoma (as well as an undergraduate degree in music from our own CU Boulder). Before returning to Colorado, he played in the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. He now plays in various local symphonies and ensembles, and makes his home in Longmont with his wife Elizabeth, a French Horn player...

Pianist Cynthia Tarkanian got a Bachelors in Performance at CU Boulder before pursuing her medical degree in ophthalmology. Trio Con Brio marks her return to the stage!

Cellist Lisa Haney most recently played with the Longmont Symphony and the band 'Wadi Rum'. Before that, she was in New York City, active in (mostly) rock bands, ranging from Hall & Oates to Rasputina. With 70’s music on the brain and plaid shirts in style, Corey needed to assemble the best local musicians Denver had to offer. Starting with Luke Mossman on guitar and Ian Short on keyboards, Hello Kavita managed to start a buzz, do some live shows and record 2008’s “And Then We Turned Sideways”. A few months before the release of “Sideways”, bassist Jimmy Stofer and Leor Manelis on drums joined the group completing the final lineup of Hello Kavita.

HK have continually sought to explore “modern seventies” music, a unique combo of 1970’s style songs and 70’s style recording techniques with a indie twist. “To A Loved One”, their latest full length release has gotten the band some well deserved attention nation wide. With record sales in high demand, HK have toured up and down the west coast and are headed to the mid west in early spring. Their shows continue to captivate crowds with emotional lyrics and raw energy, relentlessly redefining themselves and their body of work.

http://hellokavita.net/
http://www.myspace.com/hellokavita

Dec 28th: Happy Holidays

This week we'll feature a performance from the Kabaret archives. Gean. Even fewer can claim to have led lives remotely as multi-faceted, colorful and downright weird as the man otherwise known as "The Star Trekkin' Rock n' Roll Cowboy." Ralph's been writing, performing and recording his own music pretty much non-stop since the mid 1950s, and began his career opening arena shows alongside the big names of the day; but 50 years later, rather than enjoying the fruits of decades of fame and success, Ralph instead remains in relative obscurity, largely unknown except to devoted fans of "outsider" music. Ralph's never abandoned his lifelong dream of rock n' roll glory, even as he now enters his late 60s.

www.ralphgean.com

Nov 2: Jim Adam Blues Duo

When John Stilwagen joins in with Big Jim Adam, it's a tasty blend of down home country sensibility and big city style. Eleanor's music is experimental yet grounded, blending an original sound with cohesive, accessible melodies. But arresting and stirring harmonies reflect that, behind every toe-tapping note, there is an artist exploring his and our own imperfect humanity. Palpable honesty and fresh lyrics echo this exploration, this struggle. And in the end, the listener can't help feel captured, drawn into the music's agile movement and captured by the language for its reality.

Building from a strong foundation of charming, understated chamber folk underscored by glitchy rhythms, Eleanor has crafted the soundtrack of urban daydreams and reflections. -The Westword " http://www.myspace.com/eleanor_music

Sept 28: Rough Around the Edges

"Rough Around the Edges" specializes in music of Colorado and the west.
