Sept 28: Rough Around the Edges

"Rough Around the Edges" specializes in music of Colorado and the west. The musical styles range from bluegrass to western swing and folk, with a few originals thrown in. "Rough Around the Edges" consists of Ken Fisher on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, "Dobro" Dave Griffin on Dobro and Mandolin, Matt "Slash" Schroer on lead guitar and harmony vocals and Jim "Shoulders" Woodson on bass. Their new CD, 'Colorado Sky" is an excellent representation of their live performances.

Sept 21: Jaden Carlson

Jaden realized her passion for guitar at an early age. Starting her venture with classical training, she quickly moved to acoustic and electric rock, teaching herself many of her favorite covers and writing her own original material. Possessing an amazing ear and an insatiable love for playing and performing, Jaden's repertoire includes covers by Michael Franti & Spearhead, Trevor Hall, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Ziggy Marley, John Lennon, Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, and many originals. She has performed with Michael Franti & Spearhead, Trevor Hall, Radioactive, Manas Itene and Versace, Keaton Simons, and her friend Andrew Schiller, a guitarist.

Sept 14th: Southern Journey: A Tribute to Alan Lomax

This pledge drive, we're joined by Marta Burton's Southern Journey: A Tribute to Alan Lomax. This project is inspired by musicologist Alan Lomax's Southern Journey, a thirteen volume series of original field and studio recordings capturing the musical world of the rural South.

We'll hear a preview of their show and CD release on Sept. 19th at Swallow Hill.

Sept 7: Gabrielle Louise

Gabrielle Louise is an Americana artist noted for her poignant lyrics (a two-time John Lennon Songwriting Contest finalist, winner of the Jack Maher Songwriting Award) and astonishing vocals. She has toured and recorded with a wide variety of configurations, but most recently she has put together a Boulder based group billed The Gabrielle Louise Show, which includes David Rynhart on Lead Guitar/Piano/Mandolin and Vocal Harmonies, and Ryan Drickey on Fiddle/Cello.
