Extraordinary Renditions

Extraordinary Renditions has been playing music on an off for almost 20 years. They began in the groups Coyote Palace and Front Range Improv Orchestra (FRIO).

Ron Bucknam: guitar, electronics-originally from N.Y., Ron has been active in the Free-Jazz and general weird music scenes mostly in Texas and Colorado for some time, playing drums, guitar and live electronics. Early music experience includes Scottish drumming, studying bass, piano, and flute. In more recent years recorded/ played with trumpet player Dennis Gonzalez and played/ recorded/ toured with the inimitable multi-reed player Jack Wright. A sprinkling of pit playing, country gigs, accompanying a trick bicycle riding act, etc. etc...you get the picture.

Dirk Dickson: bass- Dirk has had various toes in blues, improvisation, and jazz in the Denver area for over 25 years. He has played with pianists Bob Palmer and Joe Bonner, Coyote Palace, and Joe Lukasik.

Michael O'Neill: guitar, electronics- Michael plays in a wide array of situations, from accompanying poets and Butoh dancers, solo recordings and performances, to large ensembles. He has brought his contributions to improv groups (Coyote Palace, Front Range Improv Orchestra, Jack Wright, Instrument Panel), classically-oriented/ new music groups (Arkestra Pirata), jazz ensembles, electronic groups (Envelope), rock groups (Matter, Highway Y), and a Spanish pop/ flamenco group (Luna Soul).
