Kort McCumber

Kort McCumber, with McCumberland Gap, returns to the KGNU Kabaret with his brand of Americana, or "Bentgrass" in support of his CD "Lickskillet Road".

Singer-songwriter Kort McCumber weaves a rich and diverse tapestry of musical experience, skill and energy into each and every one of his many musical endeavors. A classically trained pianist & cellist (he learned from his mom, Joy Myers, who played for the Jacksonville Symphony for more than two decades) today Kort plays guitar, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, piano, bouzouki, cello and more.

Lisa Bell

Local Jazz vocalist Lisa Bell plays on the Kabaret, previewing her third annual "A Jazzy Christmas" at Nissi's in Lafayette on Dec. 9th. Bell is a Boulder, Colo. native who received a scholarship to the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. There she earned a degree in vocal performance with an emphasis in jazz. She has worked with Bobby McFerrin, Marilyn Maye, and Ida McBeth, among others.
