The Ricky Earl Band

The KGNU Kaberet begins 2007 with blues music from the Ricky Earl Band.

From their website: "Ricky Earl is one of those rare musicians who embody the whole history of the Blues, Soul, and R & B from his roots in Louisiana right through to six years as Little Milton's lead guitarist and bandleader as well as stints with other blues legends including Albert King and BB King.

Ricky Earl now lives in Denver, Colorado where he continues to thrill audiences with his scorching guitar and searing vocals, playing original and classic Blues, Soul, R & B, leading his own band featuring Cheri Smith on lead and backing vocals, Steve Levinsky on bass, Tim Wallace on guitar, Chris Lyke on drums, Mitch Brown on percussion."

I've seen the Ricky Earl Band a couple of times. We're fortunate to have such a great Blues Man here in Denver, playing local clubs. Kudos to the drummer! It's rare that you find someone who knows when to get out of the way of the soloists, and who won't rush the beat. And when it's time to shine, this guy is very good. Nice job!
