The graduation performance featured East Colfax Scratch Academy students and their instructor DJ Notch (2010 DMC Regional Champion). Students from East High School demonstrated the art of turntablism. One of Denver's top tuntablists, DJ Notch, also performed. Notch is the lead instructor for the East Colfax Scratch Academy, a turntablism workshop sponsored by KGNU Community Radio. The workshop and the performance are supported by a grant from the Colorado Creative Industries Division, a state agency, and the National Endowment For The Arts, a federal agency.
