KGNU is Hiring a Denver Underwriting Sales Manager
|
KGNU, an independent, community public radio station, seeks a tenacious, outgoing, and motivated self-starting individual to sell underwriting in Denver, CO.
Individual will be responsible for selling on-air and website underwriting for KGNU in Denver and surrounding suburbs.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with public media underwriting, its philosophy, its restrictions, and whom to sell it to and how
- Strong knowledge of the Denver media underwriting/ad sales market
- Previous advertising and/or media sales experience
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience with establishing and building business relationships
- Experience with creating sales strategies and meeting monthly sales goals
- Strong word processing, spreadsheet, and database skills
- Must have Internet, email, and telephone to conduct business
- Must have reliable transportation with insurance, license, etc. and be willing to travel around the area
- Must be highly motivated, very organized, and able to work independently
- Must have an understanding of KGNU's mission, philosophy and value system
This is a part-time, commission-only independent contract position that receives 20% of all sales. THIS POSITION IS BASED IN DENVER.
