Since its purchase of 1390 AM in 2004, KGNU has continued to expand its volunteer-powered community media mission in Denver. The station installed a state-of-the-art digital transmitter for 1390 AM, built a professional broadcast & production studio in the Micro Business Development Center, hired new staff for the studio, and created new programs and programming opportunities for volunteers from throughout metro Denver.
