Music is my Life, Politics my Mistress

Poet, playwright, musician, and social activist Oscar Brown Jr. has been described by LA Times as "...a national treasure who should be honored by the Kennedy Center." Oscar Brown Jr. shared the bill with musical greats including Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, and John Coltrane. Music is My Life is told from the perspective of the artist through entertaining live performance and provocative commentary. Music is My Life has been an official selection and award winner at festivals worldwide including the Pan African Film Festival, Detroit Docs, Harlem Film Festival, Boston International Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, and Africa in the Picture, Amsterdam.
