KGNU's new Music Director
|
KGNU trainer and longtime volunteer DJ John Schaefer (Morning and Afternoon Sound Alternatives, The Western Front) has been selected as KGNU's new Music Director. John was one of four top candidates in a field of 75 applicants. His experience as a trainer at KGNU; his technical, IT and production skills; his deeply eclectic music knowledge; his creative talents -- all were factors in his selection by the search committee.
John will officially begin his duties Monday, June 26. He succeeds Elaine (EC) Erb, who served as Music Director for seven years. Kathy Gilbert has been the interim MD since EC's departure in April.
