Conceived in a Boulder Free School class in the early 1970s, born in a cottage by Boulder Creek, KGNU Community Radio went on the air at 10 am May 22, 1978. Join us in celebrating nearly three decades of community-based media in Boulder County and beyond. Help us celebrate as we look to the future, working to bring together the communities of the Denver metro area through the magic of the airwaves.
