Kris Abrams resigns
|
Kris Abrams resigned this week after two years of amazing work for KGNU, including raising $1.4 million for the purchase of 1390; helping to negotiate the purchase of the signal; arranging for $2.4 million in no-interest loans to cover most of our current debt; serving as chair of the 1390 committee which has been soliciting gifts of $1390 and above; and in general, lending her voice, her vision and her commitment to furthering the cause of KGNU, community radio and independent media. Hired to spearhead KGNU?s expansion, Kris has accomplished all we asked her to do and more. As she looks to move on, I hope she will find time to use some of her many talents and skills on behalf KGNU as we continue this unprecedented project.
